Henry W. Coe State Park
The following trips start at Hunting Hollow entrance. Backpacking permit and parking fees required ($6 per car per night, $5 per person per night). Hunting Hollow entrance is not staffed, self-register at the fee collection station in the parking lot.
The park is open year round, 7 days a week/24 hours.
There is no potable water at the Hunting Hollow trailhead.
In summer, temperatures above 90 degrees between 11AM and 7:30-8PM are not unusual. Hike early in the morning and late in the evening and plan shorter trips to prevent heat exhaustion if necessary.
In winter, expect cold nights - mid-30s or below.
In winter and spring, many creeks may be impassable after heavy rain.
(Distance and elevation gain is for roundtrip unless indicated otherwise)
