This trail work day is open to the public. We start gathering at 8:30 AM; coffee and donuts are available. Shortly before 9:00 AM we conclude sign-in and conduct an orientation/safety meeting. Tools are then dispersed and we head off to the work site.
Lunch at noon. Please bring your own food and water.
Wear sturdy footwear and clothes for the activity and expected climate. Bring and wear personal protective gear including gloves and eye protection.
Poison oak, ticks and other objective hazards may be encountered.
You will be required to sign a waiver in order to participate. A permission slip for minors must be filled out and signed prior to the event . You can find the form at the following URL http://coepark.net/pineridgeassociation/documents/DPR208c.pdf
Parking is free for volunteers if a parking pass is obtained during the orientation and displayed upon your windshield/dashboard.
Event ends at 3:00pm, see above for leaving early. We stop work in time to allow for travel back to the parking area.
If there is a medical emergency we carry radios to contact the park's rangers.
